Unfortunately, I didn't order any media and since it's our first 2012 R2 server, I don't already have a disc.I notice Dell are charging £25 for a 'media kit', which is a complete rip off and you can probably only order them with a server.I wonder if the server will come with a mechanism to 'burn your own' recovery media.Unfortunately, I'm going to need install media straight away, since the new server is meant to be a Hyper-V host and I need to install 2012 R2 onto the VM's I create.

I know there are numerous fixes such as this in this version.Also, with the vanilla install, that is designed by Microsoft. If the COA is not entered, it will install a trial version of storage server.with the correct COA Foundations will be installed properly and activated. Both versions are on the same media and the COA determines which version is installed. If no COA is entered, the default (storage server) will install as a trial.
