Boostberry Service Books 8350i
This is for a brand new in the box Nextel Branded IDEN network Blackberry Cure 8350i. With this model you can still only pay $50 a month and keep your PTT Walkie talkiw feature. This is not the downgrade Boost Blackberry 8330 that just came out where they charge you $60 a month and don't even have the PTT walkie Talkie. This is the Nextel branded Blackberry that uses a Boost SIM card and when converted with the software I include to program your SIM card will give you almost all the same functions as the Boost 8330 except you still ONLY HAVE TO PAY $50 a month and you still get a PTT/Walkie Talkie use. Once converted you will get unlimited talk/text/web/ PTT and use of most apps. Teh only apps you cant use are the blackberry apps like blackberry messenger or blackberry maps but I will provide apps that will take place of each of the ones that wont work.
This is still by far such a superior phone to the older Sprint model 8330 that's is at the end of its run. Most Boost users like the PTT and use the network for that reason so why would you pay ten dollars more a month and lose the PTT feature when you can buy this brand new phone in the box put in your Boost SIM card and still only pay $50 a month and use your PTT. Not only that but the 8350i is a far better phone with many more features that makes the 8330 dwarf in comparison. The major difference is email andwith the 8350 you can either use the Gmail app or you can use an app called shangmail which works exactly as email would work on the 8330. Your choice buy an lder model blackberry from boost and pay more per month and lose the PTT or get the newer 8350i pay only $50 and keep the PTT.For anadditional $25 I will include a brand new Boost Mobile Starter Packwith $10 call credit. I will activate the SIM card with yourinformation and provide you with a new phone number with area code andprefix of your choice. (example xxx-xxx ) Saves you all the hassleof activating your phone once you receive it and the hassle of havingto install the conversion software onto the phone.
If you need anyassistance with your Blackberry turned Boostberry then I will beavailable to answer any questions you may have. If you choose totransfer your number from another carrier than I can provide you theinstructions to do that as well. Once you receive this phone all youneed to do is pay $40 for your first months bill, register the networkand enjoy your New BoostBerry phone. Ifyou already have your own Boost SIM then put it in the phone and I willprovide all the tech support free to reinstall the service softwareneeded and i will include the CD in place of the SIM card. It willonly take us 10 minutes to do.Detailed item infoProduct DescriptionThe BlackBerry Curve 8350i provides an instant, one-to-one push-to-talk communication nationwide with any other Nextel Direct Connect subscriber. I have compiled a ZIP file of all of the SBs I have acquired since I bought my 8350, including the originals before I started attempting the browser hack. If anyone wants them they are at jezghani. Com / sevicebook.zipI have also started working on a how-to for everything I had to do as soon as a bought the phone (I was completely new to BB so I tried to write the how-to for someone in the same shoes. It's a work in progress but it's out there) and I have that at jezghani. ComHere are the things I am still trying to get to work:1.) I have my texts forwarded successfully to my email but I would like to be able to send/receive texts without the work around, obviously.2.) I would like to be able to send/receive attachments normally via the BB inbox. As of now, if I attach a file it only seems to attach the filename but not the actual file.
If I receive a file I can go to 'open attachment' but it tells me i can't open that type of file, but it does, in fact, save the file on my SD card and I can view it other ways. I have the attachment service installed but I think I am supposed to have a service book for it also.3.) I have google maps working but I would also like to have the Blackberry Maps app working. I have the service books for this in my 'original' service books but I have the browser/email hack SBs installed so that I can actually send emails so I've lost that.4.) I can't seem to figure out themes. I tried downloading some from various places on the web b/c Opera doesn't support themes with transparent backgrounds and that's all the phone came with (it's why the menu won't pop up). I installed them and restarted but they never show up under downloads, applications, or themes. I must be doing something stupid.but I don't know what, any ideas?I tried editing SBs with a hex editor but I don't think I understand enough about it to make any real advancements.
I think what I need is a copy of the attachment service books then add that to my originals along with an MMS SB and the email/browser SBs and I'll be set. Anyone have any info on how I would go about doing that? Or have the attachment service books? Or have some service books from an active Nextel 8350?Hey, I need some help, I start my Boost service on the 16th, and I've been reading through these forums to make sure I'm ready by the time my BB is activated on their service.I'm stumped on a couple of things, and I need some clarity in a couple of areas; someone plz help:1.) I don't understand what service books(SB) are, but having them on your phone will clear up what issues?
Is it the browser or txt issue?2.) I downloaded the SB off of jezghani and just use notepad to open it on my laptop. Did I open it correctly, and if not, what could I do differently? Open with an extracter, or whatevr that is?3.) I think I can figure out how to put them on the phone; anywho, can someone give me some directions on how to get texts working?I've been reading through the thread and only got up to pg18, but the main things I was stuck on was understanding SB and how to get texts running. Barry harris method. Everything else seems to be based on you getting your SB working, so I'll figure those out once I get to them, I just wanted to make sure I had internet and texts for now.

Make sure you have the most updated SBs.the one we are all using is called Combine3.3.) All of this information is on a sticky, and in my signature. Please wait until you get your phone, read the instructions carefully, and then follow them.
If you still have problems, you can PM me. Message to Michelbites and Dannyboy281Hello to everyone,I tried the Text forwarding instructions as detailed on page 1, and it didn't work! On the nextel website, when I cicked on 'register to gain access' it takes me to a page where I can only enter username/password and some demographic info. There's no field to enter SIM or EMEI number, except pin number, which I did and it allowed me to register but not able to get to the page where I can complete the instructions as outlined on page1.
Any help will be appreciated. Since I don't have enough post to leave my email address or phone contact, I will be grateful if someone can PM me their email address contact to help resolve my SMS text issue.
